Blending West's primary soulful hip hop production with Brion's elaborate chamber pop orchestration, the album experimentally incorporated a wide array of different genres and prominent orchestral elements, including string.

It was a good album but not an outstanding one to me. Kanye is in CHicago right now working with Chance the Rapper.

It’s definitely a lot more enjoyable than his debut, as I found myself vibing with more tracks and grooves. The production and beats are a lot more eclectic and interesting, and Kanye is charismatic as ever.

The album was released on August 30, 2005 by Roc-A-Fella Records and Def Jam Recordings.

How did this album chart? This album peaked at on Billboard’s US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, Billboard’s US Rap Albums and the Billboard 200. The album also peaked at in Canada. Most recently, the album went RIAA Triple Platinum on February 24, 2006. The album also went Double Platinum in Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK and Platinum in Australia.

It's a paradox, which is exactly what he thrives on. His follow-up to The College Dropout isn't likely to change the minds of the resistant.
