Shadow Zone is the third album by the band Static-X, released on October 7, 2003. It was the only album to feature drummer Josh Freese and the first of two albums to feature guitarist Tripp Eisen.

Static's work with Davis greatly influenced the direction of the Shadow Zone album. While the band found success with their Platinum-selling debut album Wisconsin Death Trip in 1999, dissatisfaction grew in the band in creating the follow-up, Machine in 2001. Eventually, original guitarist Koichi Fukuda was replaced with Tripp Eisen. Work on Shadow Zone started in early 2002, and would span well over a year.

that something is wrong with the sound ... I was listening this album about 1,000 times. sense that some songs are recorded in a low bit rate. but some of them play well. so sad, that this edition was released with defect sound.

Sadly , same here! Sounds like low bitrate quality. I think that the problem is most of all with the execution. The grooves are very compact and close to each other. So much music would have to be on two discs, so probably the quality (or dynamics range) could have been much more prominent. But the disc is beautiful, it's a nice touch.!! PS !!The " Dead World " sounds good compared to the others. my copy sounds fantastic.....all stereo.....full bass sound.....no skips or clicks etc.....it has NO defect sound

I can confirm, there is something seriously wrong with the sound! I compared with Tidal, and there is a huuuge difference! This record is going back to the shop together with a complain. Sad, and very disappointing from a quality producer like Music on Vinyl!
