The San Francisco Sound refers to rock music performed live and recorded by San Francisco-based rock groups of the mid-1960s to early 1970s. It was associated with the counterculture community in San Francisco, particularly the Haight-Ashbury district, during these years. San Francisco is a westward-looking port city, a city that at the time was 'big enough' but not manic like New York City or spread out like Los Angeles. Hence, it could support a 'scene'.

Recorded November 1, 1998 at The 7th Note, San Francisco A Tön Pröb Production on behalf of Projekct Four and the King Crimson Collectors' Club. Mastering SID Code: IFPI LR31.

The Gentleman from San Francisco is a short story by the Nobel Prize-winning Russian author Ivan Bunin, written in 1915 and published the same year in Moscow, in the 5th volume of Slovo (Word) anthology. Translated into English by D. H. Lawrence (with Samuil Koteliansky), the story is one of Bunin's best known and regarded as classic. Bunin recollected the circumstances that led to the story's inception in a brochure called "The Origins of My Stories", compiled and published by P. Vyacheslavov.

Live from San Francisco was Maynard Ferguson's strongest jazz album in quite a few years. Utilizing a small big band comprised of 12 pieces, Ferguson is in consistently fiery form during a session recorded live at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. Bebop Buffet" (which has quotes from many bop classics) is a high point, and these versions of "Lush Life" and "On the Sunny Side of the Street" (along with four group originals) are quite enjoyable; baritonist Denis DiBlasio's arrangements are a major asset.

Find San Francisco tour packages from Los Angeles, Las Vegas and visit Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz. San Francisco to Yosemite, Yellowstone, Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, and Crater Lake at low prices. Plan your San Francisco day tours and trips with transportation included. Overall the trip was good and economical. There were few glitches down the road though. The trip was divided into 4 different tour guides and buses. One of the buses broke down at Yellowstone so we had to wait 8 hours before we got a replacement.

The food of San Francisco deserves about 1,000 articles in itself-look to your right and you'll find a James Beard Award winner, to your left is a Food Network fave, straight ahead is an inventive fusion spot that will have your taste buds dancing. And then there are the burritos. Now, I want to hear why your heart beats for this city, too. What are some of the main reasons you love San Francisco?

This is a gem of an ep, especially for the price at the moment. Early charles webster, warm laid back chords, tough drums ran through some 8bit samplers. Definitely one for lounging to. All tracks worth a play but the stand out is final fantasy, get this on your turntable.
