Recorded at Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village and The Magic Shop in New York City, the album is the group's first to be released on a major label as they departed from Matador Records beforehand. On April 25, 2007 the band officially announced the album title as Our Love to Admire as well as the track listing.
Our Love to Admire is the sound of a minted Madison Square Garden band seeking to freshen its damp atmospherics. It's not a terrible idea: On Antics, even Interpol seemed tired of Interpol, capping the disc's 10 tracks with a couple drawn-out duds. But, as anyone who's bought laundry detergent knows, "new and improved" does not always mean "new" or "improved. Admire's predictable adornments quickly prove fleeting and expose Interpol's nagging limitations rather than their potential
Interpol's critically acclaimed third studio album 'Our Love To Admire' will be released for the first time on heavyweight double-vinyl to commemorate its 10 year anniversary. Produced by Rich Costey (Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Biffy Clyro), the remastered album includes the singles 'The Heinrich Maneuver' and 'Mammoth'. The gatefold packaging includes custom inner sleeves.
