Convert YouTube video "Menta-Sounds of da Future (2001 garage)" to MP3 online. Awesome garage/bassline track from 2001 by Menta, a duo who consisted of Arthur Smith and Danny Harrison. They only produced a small handful of garage tracks under this alias before moving on to work on a disco house project together once garage faded out of the limelight after 2003 titled Moto Blanco. However their work deserves a mention, specifically this track. The focus of this six minute piece of funk is it's simple yet catchy bassline, which is wrapped tightly around a nice fleeting 2-step drumloop.

Awesome garage/bassline track from 2001 by Menta, a duo who consisted of Arthur Smith and Danny Harrison. The track is by Menta and called "Sounds Of Da Future" not the other way round (like it says in the description). 9 years ago. I can hear it very clearly.

MENTA ‘Sounds Of Da Future’ (Sounds Of Da Future). Speaking of UK garage aliases, what about that Arthur Smith? Best known for his work as Artwork, one third of Magnetic Man with Skream and Benga, Smith has more under-the-radar garage hits in his catalogue than most, and even released records on FatCat under the alias Grain. On ‘Sounds of Da Future’ (first released on white label in 2001, then given a full release in ’02) Smith teamed up with studio partner Danny Harrison for one of his best ever records – make sure to also check the oft-overlooked ‘Snake Charmer’, from 2002. This record’s been evangelised about in FACT more than enough now, so we’ll keep it simple: Dizzee’s next album could be 100 times better than his most recent effort, The Fifth, and it still wouldn’t come close to this. ALIAS ‘Gladiator’ (Self-released).

DJ Zinc did a drrum'n'bass remix of Sounds Of Da Future on BINGO records (BINGO 009) but this original is way better.
