DJ BoBo (echte naam: René Baumann) is een Zwitserse zanger en rapper die sinds begin jaren '90 actief is. Na een ng en een paar weinig succesvolle singles breekt hij in 1993 in veel landen door met Somebody Dance With Me. Eind 1995 staat zijn aantal Top 40-hits op acht. In Nederland hebben we daarna niets meer van Baumann gehoord. In Duitstalige landen is hij daarna uitgegroeid tot een grote ster, inclusief uitverkochte stadionconcerten en gouden en platina platen. In 2007 vertegenwoordigt DJ BoBo Zwitserland op het l in Helsinki.
