Jean des Loups, de Malicorne, extrait de l'album Le Bestiaire (1979).

Malicorne 1 is the debut studio album by Malicorne, released in October 1974. It is sometimes referred to as Colin because the album is called "Malicorne" and "Colin" is the first track. The absence of any rock drummer and the complexity of the sound makes it closer to folk than rock. All tracks are traditionals, arrangements: Malicorne – except for "La Pernette" (lyrics: trad. music: Gabriel Yacoub; arrangements: Malicorne). Dame Lombarde" – 3:11.

Malicorne 4 is an album by Malicorne. It is sometimes called "Nous sommes chanteurs de sornettes" because the album is called "Malicorne" and that is the first track. For the first time electronic effects and synthesisers are heard on a few tracks. The final track in particular is a slightly crazy assemblage of medieval and modern instruments. Daniel mon fils" is either a translation of the English folk song "Lord Randal", or the French equivalent of it. It was recorded and released in 1976.

Founded in 1747, in the heart of the Sarthe valley by Jean Loiseau we are the oldest earthenware company still in operation in Malicorne. Today our craftsmen continue to handcraft and hand paint our products in much the same way as it has been done for over 270 years. In preserving French heritage, our historical traditions and ancestral techniques, we create heirloom pieces both classic and contemporary, that will be enjoyed by generations to come. Listen free to Malicorne – Malicorne (Le mariage anglais, Le Garçon Jardinier and more). This band plays very traditional folk music, and rock elements appear only in occasional amplified bass and guitar lines. The drums are neither played in rock style, but they are merely simple bass drums and percussions beating the rhythm. The main instruments here are guitars, violins, voices of both male and female singers plus some wind instruments. There are also some bagpipes been used on track Réveillez-Vous Belle Endormie.

Never miss another show from Thierry Moreau.
