In 1990, the Hemphills children decided to pursue other interests and the group disbanded. Joel and LaBreeska's ministry had come full circle and it was just the two of them once again, yet they were excited and looked forward to the challenges and opportunities this presented.

Sunshine Superman is the third album from British singer-songwriter Donovan. It was released in the US in September 1966, but was not released in the UK because of a contractual dispute. In June 1967, a compilation of the Sunshine Superman and Mellow Yellow albums was released as Sunshine Superman in the UK. Sunshine Superman was named after Donovan's hit single released in the US in July 1966

The Hemphills were a family gospel music group active in mostly the American South from 1968 to 1990. The group resurfaced in 1998 as a husband-and-wife duo. The group was founded in Bastrop in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, by the Pentecostal pastor Joel Wesley Hemphill, Sr. (born August 1, 1939) and his Alabama-born wife, the former LaBreeska Rogers (1940-2015).
