Dylan Mondegreen would be a fine name for a singer/songwriter, but it's all a front for Norwegian artist Børge Sildnes. His third album under the moniker is a beautifully crafted, self-titled work built around his warm, homey vocals and introspective lyrics, then made extra-special by the production and arrangement work done by him and co-producer Ian Catt (best-known for his work with Saint Etienne). In fact, the entire album has the kind of sophisticated and witty feel of bands from that era, only with the far more organic production of his contemporaries like Jens Lekman or Sondre Lerche.

Dylan Mondegreen (born Børge Sildnes) is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. His debut album, While I Walk You Home, was released in his native country on 17 September 2007. The second album, The World Spins On, was released in 2009. The album was released by Division Records in Norway, Universal Records in the Philippines, Fastcut Records in Japan and Pastel Music in Korea.

Dylan Mondegreen is the moniker of Norwegian indie singer/songwriter Børge Sildnes. On his fifth album he has once more been working with Ian Catt (Saint Etienne, Field Mice and many more), who co-produced his third and self-titled album. The title track and album opener A Place In The Sun starts with 30 seconds of ambient noise before a 30 piece Makedonian string orchestra and Børge’s home-recorded vocals kick in. Is it so much to ask to grow old in a peaceful land? he asks at the start of the song.
