La Roux is the debut studio album by English synth-pop duo La Roux. It was released on 26 June 2009 by Polydor Records. The album peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). It includes the singles "In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof", which reached numbers two and one on the UK Singles Chart, respectively.
1: La Roux is the electropop project of Elly Jackson (born 12 March 1988 in London, United Kingdom; singer and keyboardist). It started as a duo in 2008 and became a solo project in 2011, when Jackson's songwriting and producing partner Ben Langmaid left the group. Her music is largely influenced by 80s pop music including Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, The Human League, Heaven 17, Yazoo and Prince.
Trouble in Paradise (La Roux album). Trouble in Paradise is the second studio album by English singer Elly Jackson, known professionally as La Roux. It was released on 18 July 2014 by Polydor Records. La Roux originally consisted of Jackson and producer Ben Langmaid, who collaborated during the earlier stages of production. However, Jackson was left to complete the record in early 2014 after Langmaid departed from the group in early 2012.

Elly Jackson last released an album in 2009. Once, a pop star leaving five years between their debut and its follow-up would have been unimaginable – so much would have happened in the interim that it would be almost impossible to keep up, to seem like anything other than a relic from a lost past. Even today, when rock and pop develops at a far slower pace, five years seems a very long time to wait . It's five years since La Roux's extraordinary debut album was released. Since then, Elly Jackson has split from her songwriting partner, lost her voice and almost spun out of control.
La Roux arrived in the States that fall. Late that year, the duo began working on new material that steered away from the heavy '80s influence of the debut. In early 2010, Skream's remix of "In for the Kill" won Best Dancefloor Filler at the NME Shockwave Awards. That summer, "Bulletproof" entered the Top Ten of Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart, and La Roux released the mix album Sidetracked. In 2011, Jackson and Langmaid took a hiatus from touring to concentrate on making their second album.
