Give Us a Wink is the fourth album by British rock band Sweet. It was the first album to be fully written and produced by the band members. Previously they had relied on material from the songwriting team of Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman.

Give us a wink is one of the Sweet's 3 great albums (alongside Sweet FA and Off the Record) and stands the test of time pretty well. By this tie the sweet's commercial appeal was waning but they were making some great albums. The standout tracks are Action and 4th of July. The former is an all tie great and although it only made it to number 15 but had it been released two years previously it would have made it into the top 3 as it's more than a match for, say, Teenage Rampage. This album is 100 per cent Sweet, the record where the strings were cut and the band went it alone. The production is handled admirably by Scott, Connolly, Tucker and Priest and every song is a band composition. GIVE US A WINK was recorded for the most part at Musicland Studios in Munich with engineer Mack (who was later to work extensively with Queen.
