State of Bengal's new album, Skip-ij (2006), is a minor masterpiece of sound, with music that is both rich and complex. Each sound is an entity of its own that makes sense within much larger textures, in which one can clearly distinguish the different instruments (guitar, saxophone, percussion, tabla, and sitar), samples, and electro beats.
