Glass Houses, Billy Joel’s all-out attempt at a rock & roll album, is just about as convincing and exciting as Linda Ronstadt’s recent Mad Love, though the latter sounds a lot more game and likable than the former ever will. Ronstadt may never understand what songwriters like Elvis Costello and Warren Zevon are talking about, but at least she knows who they are and that they represent something both honorable and artistic. Billy Joel Format: Audio Cassette. First, this has a "CD Extra" for your computer, which I could not care less about. These so called & CDs are always a problem and so I never bother with trying to make those portions work. However, as a CD played on a proper CD player, this is an excellent album. This one has a couple of songs that were played to death on the radio (decades ago) but it also has a nice collection of songs that never made the airwaves, and all of them are very enjoyable.
