Noting that the name Hi-lites was already in use and wanting to honor their home town they changed their name to "The Chi-Lites" in 1964. Clarence Johnson left the group later that year, and their name was subsequently shortened to the Chi-Lites. Eugene Record was the musical group's sole songwriter and lead singer. Record never collaborated with members outside his singing group. Lester was the lead singer. The new group continued using the Chi-Lites established name. Creadel Jones left for a second time in 1982, and the group would remain a trio. In 1983, the group released the critically acclaimed Bottoms Up album and achieved notable club and R&B chart success with the title track and "Changing For Yo. Released on LARC Records, the album was also released in the UK on the R&B label under the distribution wing of PRT.
Becoming Popular (The Pony Everypony Should Know) is a song sung by Rarity in the episode Sweet and Elite. The song is accompanied by a montage sequence of Rarity mingling with Canterlot high society and becoming a highly regarded socialite. The song has been released as a sing-along on the DVD My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: Season Two Disc 4, with the title "Every Pony. It is the second track on the Songs of Friendship and Magic album, under the title Becoming Popular
Pony is the debut and only album by the English psychedelic rock band Spratleys Japs. Released in 1998 on All My Eye And Betty Martin Music, the album was a side-project of Cardiacs frontman Tim Smith and his then-partner Joanne Spratley.
