Charles Frank "Chuck" Mangione (/mændʒiˈoʊni/; born November 29, 1940) is an American flugelhorn player, trumpeter and composer. He was a member of Art Blakey's band and co-led the Jazz Brothers with his brother, Gap. He achieved international success in 1977 with his jazz-pop single "Feels So Good". Mangione has released more than 30 albums since 1960

In 2011, SuperBird combined Chuck Mangione's Journey to a Rainbow and Eyes of the Veiled Temptress, two of the flügelhornist's '80s sets for Columbia. Three years later, Beat Goes On bundled three other recordings released during the same era on the same label: Love Notes (1982), Disguise (1984), and Save Tonight for Me (1986). All three offer poor to middling material from Mangione. They rarely reach the same level of vibrant energy heard on his more successful late-'70s and early-'80s albums for the A&M label.
