Valentina is the ninth studio album by English rock band The Wedding Present. It was released in the UK on 19 March 2012 by their record label, Scopitones. The North America release date was 20 March 2012, Japan 21 March 2012 and Oceania 23 March 2012.

Under the name Cinerama, David Gedge takes the Wedding Present's 2012 LP Valentina and puts it through a radical and stunning series of reinterpretations, transforming alt-rock into swanky jazz and orchestral lounge po. Thus, it's no coincidence that the latter project is now releasing an album called Valentina, when the former did the same in 2012. With the new Valentina, Gedge takes the Wedding Present's original LP and re-interprets it through the lens of the Cinerama sonic - and the results are astonishing. Heavy on swanky jazz orchestrations, smooth pop vocals, and Brian Wilson-esque arrangements, Cinerama's Valentina is a lush pop confection.

David Gedge's Cinerama presents its glorious version of the 2012 album Valentina by Gedge's band The Wedding Present (SCOPITONE 037CD). In 1997 David Gedge decided to take a break from The Wedding Present. But he didn't take a break from music. Instead, he elected to take a different musical path and write songs inspired by his love of film scores and classic pop music. Thus, Cinerama was born. Together with his then-girlfriend Sally Murrell and Wedding Present co-writer Simon Cleave, he went on to record three amazing Cinerama albums and celebrate them with multiple live tours.
