It's been a big summer for Raffa FL. Festival DJs like Eats Everything and Richy Ahmed have been caning his tunes, both his outings on GU stayed in the tech house 100 for weeks and he has releases lined up for Avotre, Lost and Hot Since 82's Knee Deep in Sound. And of course, he's had huge support from Marco Carola. Envious" kicks things off with Raffa doing what he does best, a funky-as-hell bass-heavy house jam, the kind of thing Nile Rodgers & Bernie Edwards might have made if they'd had a moog, a bunch of pills and a night out at the Sub Club instead of what had at Studio 54. "Narciso" is up next and I love it. It's my favourite cut on this EP because it shows a house guy that's not afraid to show some progressive and techno roots. Not that this is some -the-90s homage.
