John Foxx (born Dennis Leigh, 26 September 1948) is an English singer, artist, photographer and teacher. He was the original lead singer of the band Ultravox, before leaving to embark on a solo career (with Midge Ure eventually taking his place in Ultravox).
The Garden is a 1981 album by John Foxx, the follow-up to his debut solo album Metamatic, released the previous year. However, its instrumentation and highly romantic style is more comparable to Systems of Romance, his last album with former band Ultravox, released in 1978

John Foxx" is the stage name of English musician Dennis Leigh; born on the 26th of September 1947 in Chorley, Lancashire, England. He was the original lead singer of the band "Ultravox!" (previously known as "Tiger Lily"), before embarking on a solo career in 1979.
In 1990, inspired by acid house, Foxx briefly returned as Nation 12, a collaboration with Tim Simenon of Bomb The Bass (and later with the late Shem McCauley, Streets Ahead).
Evidence is John Foxx And The Maths’ most atmospheric and darkly percussive album so far – built around stark, late night rhythms. The ambient spaces in the music allow for experiments with textures and mood, with dreamlike echoes of Massive Attack, dub (in spirit not pastiche), Dead Can Dance and the ultra-introspective Japan. The edgy beats of the opening track ‘Personal Magnetism’ are followed by ‘Evidence’, featuring The Soft Moon’s Luis Vasquez. The slow, minimalist ‘That Sudden.
