One Foot in the Grave is the third independent studio album and fourth overall by American alternative rock musician Beck, released in June 1994 on K Records, an independent label. It was recorded prior to the release of Mellow Gold, but was not released until after that album had met critical and commercial success.

Recorded prior to Mellow Gold but released several months after that album turned Beck into an overnight sensation, One Foot in the Grave bolsters his neo-folkie credibility the way the nearly simultaneously released Stereopathetic Soul Manure accentuated his underground noise prankster credentials.

The album contained plenty of evidence that Hansen’s non-conformist tendencies were undiluted by his new-found notoriety, in tracks with such titles as ‘Cyanide Breath Mint’ and ‘Asshole. But it also provided further proof of his abilities as a latter-day troubadour with strong roots in the American folk heritage that often evoked the spirit of a Seeger or a Guthrie. The original 16-track, 37-minute version of the album that was released in 1994 was augmented in Japan by three bonus tracks, which then came out on a seven-inch US single on K Records the following year.
