Rock on the Range was an annual rock festival featuring mostly mainstream rock bands, with a classic band usually headlining the show. The festival was held at two venues; MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio and Canad Inns Stadium in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Rock on the Range debuted in Columbus on May 19, 2007 and in Winnipeg on June 27, 2009. In September 2018 it was announced that 2018 would be the last year for Rock on the Range. It was founded by and was co-produced by Danny Wimmer.

Rock on the Range, billed as the biggest rock festival in America, will be back for its 11th year this May at Columbus, Ohio’s MAPFRE Stadium. Today the festival announced its lineup, which includes headlining performances from Metallica and Soundgarden, as well as appearances from Korn, The Offspring, Taking Back Sunday, Coheed and Cambria, Gojira, Volbeat, Radkey, Primus and Rival Sons. Rock On The Range was going to disclose the lineup yesterday, but delayed the news out of respect for those hurt during the Ohio State University attack. The festival will be held from May 19-21

The 2017 Rock On The Range music festival will take place May 19 – 21 in Columbus, Ohio. Organizers have revealed the lineup of the hard rock event held at Mapfre Stadium. Metal icons Metallica, along with grunge pioneers Soundgarden and nu metal rockers Korn will headline Rock On The Range 2017. Next year’s event will also include performances by Primus, Bush, The Offspring, Volbeat, Coheed & Cambria and several others.
