Tales from Topographic Oceans is the sixth studio album from the English progressive rock band Yes, released as a double album on 7 December 1973 by Atlantic Records. It is a concept album based on singer Jon Anderson's interpretation of a footnote in Autobiography of a Yogi (1946) by Paramahansa Yogananda that describes four bodies of Hindu texts, collectively named the shastras.
Inside of digipak: Tales From Topographic Oceans was first issued as Atlantic (1/9/74) Recorded at Morgan Studio, London during late summer and early autumn 1973. Remastered at DigiPrep. Warner Music Group, an AOL Time Warner Company. On slipcase: tracks 2-2 and 2-3 are previously unissued bonus tracks.
