Ingvar Cronhammar (born 17 December 1947) is a Swedish-Danish sculptor who has lived in Denmark since 1965. He has gained a unique place in Danish art with his dark monumental works, often presenting an eerie confrontation between modern technology and the primitive past. Born in Hässleholm in the south of Sweden, he moved to Denmark in 1965 where he studied at the Jutland Art Academy in Aarhus from 1967 to 1971.

Ingvar Cronhammar's artistic grab on the cisterns are soberly, without the slightest hint of sentimentality, and yet the work can form metaphors for the mindset and the subconscious. Musicial experience: Martin Hall. Exhibition runs untill 29th of November 2015 at The Cisterns at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen. Photography & text by Nicklas Thrysøe S/TUDIO.

Martin Hall Copenhagen, Denmark. Album debut with Ballet Mécanique’s The Icecold Waters of the Egocentric Calculation. Founder of Pesteg Dred, SS-Say and Under For. Synth-orientated solo albums like Relief in the 80’s. Random Hold European break in the 90’s. Recent records such as the neo-classical If Power Asks Why and his latest solo album Phasewide, Exit Signs. Collaborations with artists such as Efterklang and Othon.

Stage Ingvar Cronhammar created Stage for the joint 'Heart of Darkness' exhibition with the artist Allan Stabell, which was put on at Lunds Konsthall and at three Danish art museums, including Fyns Kunstmuseum, in 1991-92. The work is designed to be shown in a darkened room, so that the full impact of its disturbing nature is enabled.
