Christopher Robin Milne (21 August 1920 – 20 April 1996) was an English bookseller and the only son of author A. A. Milne. As a child, he was the basis of the character Christopher Robin in his father's Winnie-the-Pooh stories and in two books of poems. Milne had already made a name for himself as a writer and playwright when his son, Christopher Robin Milne, was born on Aug. 21, 1920. For his first birthday, Christopher Robin was given a two-foot-tall, cream-colored teddy bear who he named Edward. This bear, along with an actual bear at the London Zoo named Winnie and a swan named Pooh, became the basis for Milne’s classic children’s character, Winnie the Pooh.

The adorable Winnie the Pooh stories have been loved by generations of children since they were first published in 1926. In the recently released heartwarming movie Christopher Robin, fans will experience the sweet story with silly fun that gives you plenty of reasons to smile through the tears.
