Collective Soul, also known as Rabbit to differentiate it from the band's 1995 album of the same name, is the eighth studio album by American rock band Collective Soul. It was released on August 25, 2009. Rabbit is Collective Soul's first release with a parent label since the group started its own independent El Music Group label in 2004. It also effectively marks their return to Atlantic Records, as that label purchased Roadrunner in 2006.
Collective Soul (sometimes referred to as the Blue Album to differentiate from the second self-titled album) is the second studio album by Collective Soul. It became the band's highest selling album to date, going Triple-Platinum, and spent 76 weeks on the Billboard 200 charts. The singles "December," "The World I Know" and "Where the River Flows" all reached on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, while the first two singles also became major pop hits.
In addition to their previously announced summer tour with Gin Blossoms, they have announced a brand new album, Blood, due out on June 21st via Fuzze-Flex Records/ADA.
Collective Soul is a rock band which formed in Stockbridge, Georgia, United States in 1992. The band has released eight albums: Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid (1993), Collective Soul (1995), Disciplined Breakdown (1997), Dosage (1999), Blender (2000), Youth (2004), Afterwords (2007), and Collective Soul (Rabbit) (2009).
