Bizet - Shchedrin, Arthur Fiedler, Boston Pops - The Carmen Ballet album flac

The Carmen Ballet which Rodion Shchedrin wrote for his wife, ballerina Maya Plesitskaya, was taken very directly from the opera of Bizet. I have 7-8 recordings of this in my CD library, all good, but when compared to this earlier recording by Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops they just don't compare. This is truly (IMHO) the epitome, the vademecum, the quintescence of this music. I'm awed by what Fiedler brings out that others only can hint at.
