The Rock and Roll Trio were an American rockabilly group formed in Memphis, Tennessee, during the 1950s. They were also known as "Johnny Burnette and the Rock and Roll Trio" and the "Johnny Burnette Trio". The members of the Trio were Dorsey Burnette, his younger brother Johnny, and a friend Paul Burlison. Dorsey and Johnny Burnette were both natives of Memphis, having been born there in 1932 and 1934 respectively.

Rock'N'Roll Trio/Tear It Up (Double Album)-1996, Rockabilly (Various Artists)-1996 The Train Kept A-Rollin-Memphis to Hollywood: The Complete Recordings (1955-1964)-2003, Shattered Dreams-2007, et al Originally recorded by Tiny Bradshaw-1950

This album, one of the first-ever rockabilly LPs, is still the best-ever rockabilly LP. From the early 1960s, collectors were paying big money for it. When musicologists and musicians deconstruct rockabilly and when revivalists reconstruct it, they're trying to unravel the magic of Johnny Burnette and the Rock 'n' Roll Trio. In 1965, the Yardbirds recorded The Train Kept a'Rollin', and in 1966, British Decca reissued the original Rock 'n' Roll Trio LP. Most of the Trio recordings have been in print since, and the list of covers grows year by year.
