"De Rabbit" is basically a dope loop in itself; "East End West End" is straight-up euphoric, lushly orchestrated funk; "Red Ground" has that Scandinavian 70s film music air about it, Jayson Lindh type stuff; "She is My Lady" is basically Cinematic Orchestra long before they were even conceived as an idea, very Charles Stepney-orientated; "Sara Smile" is melancholy Balearic reggae

Gale doesn't begin to dominate until Multiplication - Ginseng Woman is so thoroughly a groove album it's hard to discern solos underneath its pristine veneer - but soon he starts carving out space for some seriously satisfying single-line runs.
