For Montreal-based indie-rock band Half Moon Run, it was tour fatigue that stumped them. The band's acclaimed 2012 debut album Dark Days, written and recorded in their adopted hometown, came easily. Said vocalist, drummer and keyboardist Dylan Phillips recently: "The music was an honest reflection of our lives in Montreal. It was spontaneous, and the process was exciting. The happy result is their new second album Sun Leads Me On, released through Glassnote Records on October 23. Impressed by its widescreen pomp and sweeping choruses, we got them in for an exclusive stripped session.
