Overnight Sensation is the 13th studio album by the band Motörhead released 15 October 1996, their second on the Steamhammer label. The album was Motörhead's third album with producer Howard Benson. Following the departure of Würzel (Michael Burston) in 1995, the band returned to the same three-man "classic Motörhead line up"; bass guitar/vocals, lead guitar, and drums.

Following the extremely thrashy Sacrifice, Motörhead returned to their typical three-chord rock & roll onslaught with 1996's Overnight Sensation. I have the Original Pressung of overnight Sensation on Vinyl - so I can Offer all relevant informations like matrix etc.. if anybody got a recently appeared vinyl, we could compare: Spv 008 -18301 B DMM G.P. And spv 008-18301 A DMM G.P. I could imagine, there appeared a Long forgotten stock - have experienced similiar with venom Nightmare shape in the 90's. Malibu mailorder got several packages of those long oop Shapes from neat records because there were several packages forgotten in their Stock. So it could be a Limited ammount of originals ????

BE CAREFUL!!! my local record dealer can't offer the new releases. in his selling software there are no entrys. i also wrote a mail to the spv/steamhammer support and they don't want answer me. Don't know why.

i just bought a normal looking vinyl-version with printed innersleeve etc. does anyone know something about official re-releases via steamhammer / spc? other rare mid-90ies albums are as well available (we are motörhead, sacrifice, motörizer).

I've bought 4 of these 2016 represses (Overnight Sensation, Snakebite Love, We Are Motorhead and Motorizer), they are official reissues. The label, Steamhammer, is a subsidiary of SPV, who originally released the records in the 90's/early 00's. They're good quality represses, too.
