The Destroyed Room: B-sides and Rarities is a compilation album by Sonic Youth. The tracks, which also include unreleased material, were hand-picked by the band. The album was released on December 12, 2006.
B-Sides, Live and Rarities. The Butterfly Effect were a hard rock band from Brisbane, Australia, formed in 1999. Since February 2002 the band has toured Australia and Europe extensively, and have performed over 800 times both locally and overseas as a headlining act. The band have performed at all major rock festivals in Australia including Big Day Out, Homebake, Livid and Falls Festival. Their first EP, The Butterfly Effect (EP), was released in 2001, and charted well on the ARIA Independent charts.

Track 3 was first issued as a digital download single by Modern Music on September 29th 2005 (TBE20051). Also issued as a b-side on the 'A Slow Descent' CD single, which was released by Modern/Roadshow/Sony BMG Music on June 10th 2006 (301303-2).
Track 4 is from the 'Gone' CD single, which was released by Modern/Roadshow/Sony BMG Music in August 2006 (301330-2).
Tracks 6, 17 & 18 were first issued on the 'Reach' enhanced CD single, which was released by Modern Music on January 20th 2007 (301348-2). Tracks 17 & 18 were recorded live at The Metro in Sydney, NSW, Australia during July 2006 and mixed by Forrester Savell.
Tracks 7 & 8 are demos which preceded the recording of the album 'Final Conversation Of Kings' [released September 20th 2008].
'Face for War' is essentially the outro section of the song 'Worlds on Fire'.
'She Sleeps' contains the intro from the song 'Final Conversation'.
Tracks 19 to 24 were recorded live on the 'Old Places Old Faces New Stories' tour in October/November 2008, and then issued on the 2CD European Tour Edition of 'Final Conversation Of Kings', which was released by Superball Music on November 16th 2008 (SBMTECD 011 / 0505082).
