Roosevelt (born Marius Lauber on 29 September 1990) is a German singer, songwriter and producer from Viersen. He is signed to Greco-Roman. His first project was Beat!Beat!Beat!, an indie teenage band where he was the drummer. Years later the band separated and he became a soloist. He then released his acclaimed debut EP 'Elliot' in 2013. The lead single 'Elliot' was named as Pitchfork's 'Best New Track'.

Since I first heard the praise theme for our devotionals this month, I haven’t stopped thinking about this quote. While it’s not exact scripture and more of a paraphrase of the rhythmic text in Psalm 22:3. But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel. God gives peace and rest when we praise Him, for He is worthy. I don’t know about you, but I need the Lord’s inhabiting of my life. I need His rhythms in my plans and steps. I need Him to abide with me as He promises

It’s an exegetical silver bullet. God inhabits the praises of His people is a one stop shop articulation of the core of Christian worship: that God chooses to manifest Himself uniquely in the context of gathered, corporate worship generally and perhaps in the singing1 of God’s people particularly  . It is true certainly that God sits on His throne as the praise of Israel and receiving rightfully the praises of His people.
