Radio JXL: A Broadcast from the Computer Hell Cabin is the third studio album by Dutch electronic music producer Junkie XL. Released in 2003, the double album features collaborations with a number of other artists. The songs on the first disc ("3PM") are generally short and vocally-driven much like modern pop, though many of them are more upbeat, with JXL relying on the more heavier electronic genres, including house. The second disc ("3AM") consists mostly of progressive house songs

The Computer Hell Cabin, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. On his first album since striking worldwide gold with a remix of Elvis' "A Little Less Conversation," Junkie XL gathers a clever group of collaborators and celebrates the "anything goes" spirit of the digital age. Before you go thinking that Radio JXL is another flashy exercise in excess like the Elvis single, check the excellent "Tennis," a laid-back and loose groover that shows tasteful restraint

I first heard about Junkie XL through a radio appearance where he was interviewed and some of the tracks off this album were played. The two which really struck me were Crusher (sung by Saffron) and Angels (the Gary Numan track). Junkie XL is one amazing producer and he lets his talents shine on "A Broadcast from Computer Hell. The first disc starts off with one of the best tracks on the album; "Tennis" It then moves on to some very catchy and great tracks That never seem to get old. By midway, "PerfectBlueSky" comes on with a beautiful melody accompanied by an amazing vocalist; Robert Smith.

Out of comparing this album with the other ones that JXL has made, this is such a great work! It's a perfect album to put on play as background music when you are working on anything in your computer. The different music genres and the exquisite sound of every mixed track makes everything a fine work which worth it all; and when you notice the unique composition that JXL brings, surrounded by a perfectly leveled arrangement, you think: "this actually has content and dedication in it!".So, be open minded (musically) and enjoy this album as the whole universe that it is by itself.
Phobism
Boring album. JXL released two great albums (Saturday Teenage Kick and Big Sounds Of Drags), but this album was huge disappoinment to me. Too many guest vocals ruined this album. Come on Tommy... get Rudeboy back to this project and write kicks ass tunes with nasty beats which you're famous for. On the other hand, JXL released same time MP3 album called "7AM" and that is a brilliant record. Get that instead of this record.
