The Bells of Notre Dame" is a song from the 1996 Disney film, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, composed by Alan Menken, with lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. It is sung at the beginning of the film by the clown-like gypsy, Clopin. It is set mainly in the key of D minor. The song bears some similarity to the poem The Bells by Edgar Allan Poe, especially the repetition of the word "bells" during the crescendo.
But a trap had been laid for the gypsies And they gazed up in fear and alarm At a figure whose clutches Were iron as much as the bells The bells of Notre Dame. Judge Claude Frollo longed To purge the world Of vice and sin And he saw corruption Everywhere Except within. Just so he's kept locked away Where no one else can see Even this foul creature may Yet prove one day to be Of use to me. Now here is a riddle to guess if you can Sing the bells of Notre Dame Who is the monster and who is the man? Sing the bells, bells, bells, bells Bells, bells, bells, bells Bells of Notre Dame.
at the beginning of the day. We use in when we are speaking of something inside or surrounded by others. This usage is good grammar at Genesis 2: 4 This is a history of the heavens and the earth in the time they were created, in the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven. It is usage that defines what is good grammar and what is not. So if you just keep listening to people who speak well you will gradually pick it up - especially when people correct you!
