Greatest Hits is a compilation album by the British rock band Queen, released worldwide on 26 October 1981. The album consisted of Queen's biggest hits since their first chart appearance in 1974 with "Seven Seas of Rhye", up to their 1980 hit "Flash" (though in some countries "Under Pressure", the band's 1981 chart-topper with David Bowie, was included).

Queen's 1981 promo video compilation Greatest Flix was perhaps the very first of these collections to be assembled by any artist (and subsequently copied by others over the years). Containing a total of 18 clips, Greatest Flix was eventually replaced with the Greatest Hits video in the . Still, the original contained a few clips that haven't been reissued elsewhere, such as "Spread Your Wings," "Love of My Life," "Flash's Theme," and a version of "Killer Queen" that is different than the one on Greatest Hits

Notes
From back cover:Queen's performance has always been a complete show in every sense, and many of the group's special sound, lighting and screen ideas, initially dismissed by some as "excessive" are now praised as "revolutionary." This video is an up-to-date compilation of the original productions made to accompany Queen's hits since 1974, except "Killer Queen" which was especially shot for this video disc. The productions are set out in chronological order, enabling us to trace the development of both the music and the performances which together represent not only their best known hits but also their "Greatest Flix."
