About La Charanga Tipica Tropical Eduardo Aguirre, Tipica Tropical's band leader, was one of the founding members and first band leader of the Orquesta Original de Manzanillo in Cuba, formed during the late 1950/1960's. Shortly thereafter Eduardo Aguirre left Cuba, however, the band he formed remains one of the top bands in Cuba's popular music and in Cuba's music history. Eduardo was not the only member to leave Cuba, band members Manolo Herreria (violin), Jorge Lopez (congas), Jose Garcia (vocals) and Pedro Fonseca (violin) also left the island
