One Wing is the fifth and final studio album by the American metalcore band The Chariot. The album was released on August 28, 2012 through Good Fight Entertainment and E1 Music. One Wing has been described by the band as being their "weirdest" release to date. The album debuted at number 85 on the Billboard 200, their highest position so far. One Wing was recorded with Matt Goldman-who has produced all of The Chariot's albums to date-at his studio in Atlanta, Georgia

The album is for the most part standard The Chariot fare, only more focused. Dissonance and chaos abound, the tracks fly by at a break neck pace, barely allowing the listener enough time to catch their breath before being pummeled by the next slab of bedlam. Forget" is fast and frantic, constantly shifting from one melody to another at dizzying speeds. One Wing is quite the ride. Everything The Chariot have ever done up to this point is perfected here. It's packed with that harsh abrasive style of metalcore that they're known for, but also shows that they are willing to step outside their comfort zone. Above all, One Wing proves that The Chariot, while already well ahead of most of the competition, are only just getting started.

One Wing marks the first Chariot album not to feature longtime bassist Jon Kindler since The Fiancee in 2007. The bass on the album is performed by both guitarists, Stephen Harrison and Brandon Henderson. The band have since announced that they will continue on as a four-piece; their live performance set-up will involve the six-string guitarists utilizing bass amps and octave pedals in addition to their regular equipment. 1). On their fifth album, One Wing, the Chariot avoid the pitfalls that have caught up many a band, striking just the right balance between technique and raw fury to create a sound that is both emotionally and intellectually satisfying. Though not as consistently aggressive as past efforts, the Chariot ride through other seemingly non-related genres (à la Between the Buried and Me) throughout One Wing, adding a bipolar insanity to the album.

The Chariot released the Unsung EP in 2005, which was then followed by three successful studio albums: The Fiancée in 2007, Wars and Rumors of Wars in 2009, and Long Live in 2010. The band entered the studio in May 2012 to record their fifth full-length album titled One Wing which was released August 28, 2012.
