Note that this release, unlike the same CD release, features full length tracks that appear to have escaped any editing, making it infinitely more attractive to real house lovers. This is a definite buy for vinyl enthusiasts, or someone just starting out, to hear some of the classics that shaped the dance music scene into what it is today. My particular favourite track is the Dex and Jonesey remix of Higher State of Consciousness, which beats the original acid funk mix hands down.

Note that this compilation is, unfortunately, heavily edited. The track from Da Hool "Meet Her At The Love Parade" is only 5 minutes long while the original version is about 10 minutes. Same thing for the tracks from The Face, Daddy's Favourite and Byron Stingily. I think it would have been better to release this on a 2 CD set. When it's about classic stuff, our anticipation to hear the full tracks is legitimate. But it seems it was not the most important issue when they compiled this stuff. Some other tracks sounds intact (the rare Roger Sanchez mix of Barry White's "Love Is The Icon" for example), but overall I felt betrayed buying this.
