Rubaja and Hernandez hailed from Latin cultures or countries, and were not shy about expressing that connection. It is true that at times they submit to Osterization on this instrumental offering, but fine writing, playing and arranging emerge with sufficient regularity to save this one from ignominy. In "High Plateaux", sadly the only combined effort by these two gentlemen, we have a first class instrumental prog folk album that is quite on another plain.

High Plateaux, a collaboration with Cesar Hernandez, was Rubaja's recording debut. The album was produced in 1987 by Mark Isham. 1. Puerta del Sole (Gate of the Sun).

Am I missing something? This album cannot be bought as a download? Bernardo Rubaja is such a remarkable talent, some of the best music I know of. I he still producing work.

Rubaja And Hernandez has been played on NTS in shows including Sounds Of The Dawn, featured first on 25 June 2016. Songs played include Mar (The Sea), Reflective Colors and Mar (The Sea). He was born on December 22, 1949 in La Plata - Buenos Aires province, Argentina. He started with the piano at the age of 7 years, and in his teens also includes the electric bass, forming a beat group, which eventually became Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, where he participated in the early stages of the band.
