Susan Ashton (born Susan Rae Hill, July 17, 1967) is an American contemporary Christian music and country music artist who topped the Christian charts throughout the 1990s. Ashton has recorded eight studio albums to date, of which six were released on Sparrow Records.

For one, Susan Ashton sounds very sweet and innocent here. Her gentle voice might as well be the auditory equivalent of silky-smooth chocolate. She employs a subtle country twang without sounding two-dimensional. It's really too bad that she didn't stick with this formula of success for her subsequent releases, however a new Susan Ashton CD is currently in the works with most of these same musicians. I'm hoping for a sequel to this album. This collection of songs is a beautiful story from start to finish of a young woman's journey in her faith that can apply to any age group or gender.
