Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas.
Alasdair Fraser is already well known and lauded as a Scots fiddle player, giving Natalie Haas (a member of Mark O'Connor's band) a lot to live up to. But she manages it with flying colors, and between them they take a virtual tour of Scotland and beyond. Some hundred years ago the mix of violin and cello was common in Scots music, but most probably not like this.
Only 7 left in stock (more on the way). Only 9 left in stock (more on the way). Special guests include top Irish fiddle/guitar combo Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill, old-time fiddle master Bruce Molsky, Brittany Haas from trendsetting band Crooked Still, and other top players from the Celtic and new acoustic world. This is a beautiful, pleasurable album that will be appreciated not only by fans of Scottish and Irish music but also of classical chamber music. 8 people found this helpful.
