California Guitar Trio (CGT) is a band of three guitar players founded in 1991. After completing several of Fripp's Guitar Craft courses, the three toured as part of Robert Fripp and The League of Crafty Guitarists.
CALIFORNIA GUITAR TRIO has 4 live albums "An Opening Act - On tour with King Crimson" in 1999, "Rocks the West in 2000", Monday Night in San Francisco with Tony Levin in 2000 and "Live at the Key Club" with former King Crimson members Pat Mastelotto and Tony Levin in 2001. After almost ten years with Discipline in 2002 they sign with InsideOut label and release another acclaimed album CG3+2 again with Mastelotto and Levin.
Since 1998, the California Guitar Trio has regularly toured with expanded versions of the band. CG3+2 takes the quintet in the studio to record their repertoire.
