Blot is by far EInherjer's most complete album. With 12 tracks and a total time of over an hour, there's a lot here and there are going to be at least a few songs that most people will like. The production of the album has never been more clear - this is a huge step up from their choppier work from the beginning of their career. Guitars are pronounced heavily throughout each track and are the main driving force for most of the tracks. Keyboards supplement the rest the music but do not come on too strong.

Blot" was recorded at Sifa Lydstudio, Kopervik, Norway during June, July and August 2003. It was mixed at Top Room Studio, Hadeland, Norway and mastered at Masterhuset, Oslo, Norway. Starkad" (Track 8) is based on the legend of Starkad the Old.

This is Einherjer's last album, and I dare say their best as well. Everything is just one great improvement. With "Norwegian Native Art", Einherjer returned to that black metal feel which was lost on "Odin Owns Ye All". The album opens with a good, short keyboard track, a battle march, which really ain't anything special. After that it kicks off with their probably best-known song, Ironbound. It is a pounding song, delivering hits one after another. Also a somewhat uncharacteristic song for Einherjer.
