By implementing NO CONTACT and I can’t stress this enough, and block them everywhere and stay as far away as possible. And do not get fooled by their hoovering. The Narcissist II is the latest reminder that Dean Blunt thinks about pop music very, very differently than you do. It is the first album for Dean Blunt as a solo artist after several releases with his recording partner Inga Copeland (first as Hype Williams and then as Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland), though Copeland makes appearances here. A remixed and remastered version of a free, 30-minute "mixtape" Blunt dropped in February, The Narcissist II is is the least substantial release in a discography that avoids substance by design. In particular, The Narcissist II replicates a very specific type of listening: hunching over a laptop, dozens of Chrome tabs open, crawling down a Youtube rabbit hole.

This cycle confirms the narcissist’s distorted sense of being superior to their victims. Remember: even if you left the relationship for legitimate reasons – such as for your own emotional and physical safety, your abuser still views the relationship as a competition. For you, the seemingly helpless and powerless victim, to leave first, sends them into a tailspin of fury and devastation. After all, how dare their victims forge the path to freedom, when they essentially ‘belong’ to the narcissist? That is how the narcissist thinks and believes: they truly see their victims as objects to be owned, controlled, mistreated and used as emotional punching bags, not as independent agents.

The narcissist creates a dynamic abuser and victim relationship through a cycle of abuse resulting in traumatic bonding that makes it hard for their partner to leave the increasingly abusive relationship  . In "Confusion of Tongues Between Adults and the Child", Ferenczi observed that patients often displayed "a striking, almost helpless compliance and willingness to accept my interpretations" even if he encouraged them not to agree with him. Ferenczi traced his patient's behavior to childhood trauma.

Narcissistic rage is a psychological construct that describes a reaction to narcissistic injury, which is conceptualized as a perceived threat to a narcissist's self-esteem or self-worth. Narcissistic injury (or narcissistic scar) is a phrase used by Sigmund Freud in the 1920s; narcissistic wound and narcissistic blow are further, almost interchangeable terms. The term narcissistic rage was coined by Heinz Kohut in 1972.

Taking a trip back to childhood is a necessary component of healing if we want lasting results. It will create a sense of inner cohesion, eliminate much unresolved pain and restore deeper connection to self-trust. The little one inside you needs your help. Whether you get upset at yourself because you slipped up and fallen right back to the pit, or get frustrated that you are not making faster progress and instead crying again, please be kind to yourself. This healing requires deep work and deep work requires time. Every one of us has different rhythms, has gone through different, though similar, experiences and therefore will need more or less time to heal.

Just when you think you've escaped from a narcissist nightmare, you are faced with various tricks that they employ to hook you back into their lives. Let’s say you’ve managed to cut ties with your narcissist ex. You’ve maintained radio silence, you’ve started to put your life back togethe. nd out of nowhere, they get back in contact with a message that just kicks you in the guts. Maybe they heard that your parent died and they text you just to let you know that they’re sending their condolences.

So what happens when you get back to normal and stay strong? This gives a clear sign that you are no way affected by the narcissist’s absence. Thus he/she feels that their presence did not matter to you. This creates a severe pain and rejection in the narcissist’s heart forcing them to come back to you. Read what happens when you ignore a narcissist who dumped you? 2. He/she starts assuming that you have a lot of high value

They are not coming back because they have realized their behavior was hurtful and mean, they are coming back because they have no one to dry the energy out. They don’t love you, they just want to use yo. A lot of women make the same mistake when the narcissist they’ve broken up with comes back, especially if they are freshly out of the relationship. We all make that mistake because frankly, we are still in love with our narcissist. Although we know they are bad for us and we’re only going to be miserable, something draws us back to them. It’s their lies and their false epiphany, their empty promises that they will change and that things are going to be different. That’s when we make the mistake and take them back, instead of chasing them as far away from us as possible.
