The sixth studio album and the final album with Jim Morrison in their lineup, . Woman is by far The Doors' most blues-oriented. Released April 19th, 1971 through Elektra Records, the album peaked at the ninth spot on the Billboard 200. Morrison’s poetic ardor is undiminished and his vocal performance is unwavering in it’s enthusiasm, while the group as a whole returned to their original blues rock roots.

Woman" is a song by American rock band the Doors. The song is the title track on their 1971 album . Woman, the final album to feature Jim Morrison before his death on 3 July 1971. In the song's bridge, Morrison repeats the phrase "Mr. Mojo Risin'," which is an anagram of "Jim Morrison". The phrase "city of night" that Morrison repeats several times throughout the song is the title of a novel by John Rechy, originally published in 1963
Well, I just got into town about an hour ago Took a look around, see which way the wind blow Where the little girls in their Hollywood bungalows. woman, Sunday afternoon . The album is the last with Jim Morrison, who died three months after its release.
8. Crawling King Snake. 9. The WASP (Texas Radio and the Big Beat). 10. Riders on the Storm. DISC 2 - (Re-Issue 2012).
And there are two of them here, . Woman (with maybe the best Chuck Berry riffs since the Stones and a hell of a lot more Sixties Seventies American flavor) and Riders on the Storm (signaling the return to Del Shannon from whence the Doors’ mysterioso-hood was largely derived to begin with), both of them minor monsters.
LA Woman" is the Doors' blues-rock swan song (at least, for old Jim), and what an album. This is the Lizard King at his bluesman stage, where he gains a certain newfound mystique with possibly, wisdom" While "LA Woman" may not be as perfect as their first two albums, but "Woman" is definitely the album for people who like that hard-hitting blues-rock sound.
