Wasteland, Baby! is the second studio album by Irish musician Hozier, released on March 1, 2019 for the independent label Rubyworks Records. Written and recorded in a period of over a year, it has been anticipated by the release of Nina Cried Power – EP on September 6, 2018 (from which two songs, the title track and Shrike, have made it in the final tracklist of the LP) and of the singles Movement and Almost (Sweet Music). Hollow Eyes was written as a kind-of commissioned work, to be used in a capstone project from one of my old college friends. The game, called Golem's Tower, is a 3D platformer set in a gigantic, labyrinthine tower, brimming with mystery and darkness. Going with the Golem side of things, I titled the piece Hollow Eyes, and ran with some of the dark and brooding emotions that I seem to associate with these sentient stone creatures.
