Kate Tucker & the Sons of Sweden. Kate Tucker is an American songwriter, singer and producer. She is lead singer and guitarist of Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden and is also one half of the pop duo Little Reader. Formed in 2007, Kate Tucker & the Sons of Sweden's eponymous debut was produced by Ryan Hadlock (Metric, The Lumineers) and features guest vocals by American folk luminary Damien Jurado.

This disc left me a little disappointed in that there doesn't seem to be the same feel to it as her previous work. This is more of a personal love song album. I just miss the more artsy, in-depth feel of her previous stuff.

The Shape The Color The Feel is a visual album released by Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden on their own Red Valise Recordings label. The band invited ten different filmmakers to make short films or music videos for each of the songs on the album, giving them complete creative control.

She fronts Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden and is also one half of the pop duo Little Reader. Tucker’s solo work ventures from shimmering indie pop to explore deeper shades of rock, reflecting early Stones, The Velvet Underground and Courtney Barnett, with occasional forays into a land inhabited by Cat Power, Mazzy Star and David Lynch. Their debut album, The Big Score, came out in 2017. 2018 brings the premiere of The Shape The Color The Feel documentary, following the creative community that emerged around what Huffington Post called an admirably ambitious project led by Tucker to record and release a full length album on vinyl, with thirteen music videos, three short films, and a documentary.
