Eddie Kendricks is the third album by former Temptations vocalist Eddie Kendricks. Released in the Spring of 1973 on the Tamla imprint of Motown Records. This was the breakthrough solo album Eddie Kendricks was looking for. Charting on the pop chart at number eighteen and number five on the R&B chart. This was his only solo album that would land on the pop chart.

Ernest Johnson Jr. and Eddie (Edgar) William Campbell were eager to make it in music and for the next 10 odd years would attempt to do so. They managed to record and release a handful of singles across varied imprints spread throughout the United States, from South Carolina to Chicago, from New York to Phoenix. One of their singles, Time Waits for No One hit on New York’s WWRL, which subsequently landed on the bill at the Apollo, appearing alongside soul heavyweight’s Gene Chandler, Wilson Pickett, and the Temptations

William Edgar (Eddie) Campbell (1940-1994) and Ernest (Ernie) L. Johnson Jnr (1945-2005) were a soul duo based in Phoenix, Arizona, who recorded in the Sixties as Eddie & Ernie. They produced several well regarded and highly collectable 7" singles in the middle years of the decade, many issued on the Eastern label. The pair started out as backing vocalists in 1961 before making their first recordings as a duo in 1963.

Based in Phoenix, Arizona, they made their first recordings as a duo (initially as Ernie & Eddie) in 1963, also making solo recordings. Their biggest R&B hit being "Time Waits For No One" on Eastern Records (2) in 1965. In 1971, they both joined a local group, Phoenix Express. Musically, they are often compared to Sam & Dave.

Charles & Eddie were an American soul music duo composed of Charles Pettigrew and Eddie Chacon. They are primarily known for their single "Would I Lie to You?", taken from their 1992 debut album, Duophonic. The song won Ivor Novello Awards in 1993 in the Best Contemporary Song, Best Selling Song and International Hit of the Year categories. Pettigrew and Chacon were rumored to have met on the New York City Subway in 1990.
