Looking Glass is the first album released by the band Looking Glass in 1972. The group had been playing all up and down the East Coast in clubs, and one night they were spotted by Clive Davis at the Whisky a Go Go. Davis, who at the time was the president of Columbia Records, signed them to the Epic Records label. After trying to record two times (once with Steve Cropper in Memphis), the third was with Bob Liftin and that is where "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" was recorded
Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There (1871) (also known as "Alice through the Looking-Glass" or simply "Through the Looking-Glass") is a novel by Lewis Carroll and the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865).
Looking Glass was the first record released by the band Looking Glass in 1972. Background It peaked 6 months after its release, and the album would chart for 16 weeks.
The Looking Glass was an underwater DHARMA Initiative station used as a beacon to help guide in submarines approaching the Island. A secondary purpose appeared to be related to communications; the station was used by the Others in 2004 to jam transmissions being broadcast to or from the Island. The World of the Others) The station was located a short distance offshore from the beach where Sayid first discovered a mysterious cable.
The five-CD folio, THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, presents five different CD-length works recorded between 1993 and 2008, covering a diverse range of material from environmental recordings of South American rainforests to site-specific works made in New York City buildings.
Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There (1871) is a novel by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson), the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865). Set some six months later than the earlier book, Alice again enters a fantastical world, this time by climbing through a mirror into the world that she can see beyond it. Through the Looking-Glass includes such celebrated verses as "Jabberwocky" and "The Walrus and the Carpenter", and the episode involving Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
Now I read "Through the looking-glass and what Alice found there" by Lewis Carrol and in this book used only word "looking-glass" and never "mirror". What's difference between these words? Thank you. 1. 0 2. Answers, 2. Daniw de Leon.
