My reconstruction of Zabriskie Point begins with Heart Beat, Pig Meat and is then followed by Country Song, both taken from the Rhino reissue of the official album. For the sake of audio clarity, I avoided using the familiar version of Fingal’s Cave because there is simply no quality source material to my standards. The result is a more concise 38-minute album than other Zabriskie Point fan reconstructions, and a more sonically pristine assemblage than MQR’s novel attempt. While certainly not the greatest Pink Floyd album-and one can understand why it was never released-the Soundtrack To The Film Zabriskie Point seems to stay close to my heart and holds a lot of air time on my music player.

In recent years his dedication has yielded the deserved prizes. I had the luck to get from Glenn Povey what I call simply The Document, part of the ZP recording sheets of EMI studios
Zabriskie Point is a soundtrack album to the Michelangelo Antonioni film of the same name. It was originally released in March 1970 and features songs recorded by contemporary rock acts of Antonioni's choosing, including Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead, and the Kaleidoscope. A 1997 re-release includes four bonus tracks each from Jerry Garcia and Pink Floyd that were used in the film, but not the original soundtrack
Zabriskie Point was the middle of three films Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni made for MGM: Blow-Up (1966) being the first and The Passenger (1975) the third. Of the three American films each have had their own idiosyncratic mini-history and cultish associations. If I had wanted to do a picture about student dissent, I would have continued the direction I took at the opening with the student-meeting sequence (Antonioni, 94). Antonioni begins the ‘deception’ right from the first scene of the film, introducing the students in a typical vérité style, panning and zooming from face to face, cutting quickly, but with the very next scene announces a shift away from vérité realism to an abstract expressionism, which becomes blatant if the opening is compared with the ending.
I prefer to live in a city than to live in the country. Rather than: used with the infinitive form of a verb to indicate negation as a contrary choice or wish. We say: would prefer. rather than, instead of. I’d prefer to sing rather than play the violin. I’d prefer to be happier rather than sad. Would rather: We use the preposition than to state choice with would rather. I’d rather walk than drive. I would prefer to go in the beach holiday. Like: We can use like to talk about things or people which we enjoy or feel positive about. I like Sarah but I don’t like her brother much.
