Someone Here is Missing, the recent album from The Pineapple Thief was released on Kscope earlier this year. The record had been described by front man Bruce Soord as, A record of dark edges, full of love and regret. My life in the last eighteen months pretty much, but it quickly earned a bagful of new descriptions, best summed by Classic Rock who simply stated that it was ‘frequently mesmerising’. Following several successful festival appearances over the past few months, the band are now about to embark on a European tour and release Show A Little Love. 3. Wake Up The Dead (acoustic) 4. Someone Here Is Missing was launched at a show at Bush Hall, London on 19 May 2010, whose attendees included Kscope labelmates Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree and Daniel Cavanagh of Anathema. The album also features artwork by the legendary designer Storm Thorgerson 2010 saw a number of European festival appearances and a full 2-week tour of mainland Europe. I tried "Someone Here Is Missing. that was the only album I wanted to listen to for weeks. For me it was the perfect blend of sorrow, energy, distortion, guitars, acoustic playing, singing and harmonies. And the more I listened, the more I pondered the heartfelt lyrics and the inner pain. Someone Here Is Missing is a music studio album recording by THE PINEAPPLE THIEF (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 2010 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. no just kidding Someone Here is Missing is the strongest album so far from Pineapple Thief. Bruce Soord does sound similar too to Steve Wilson at times but sadly the comparitive monikers do not go away. They should cos these guys really do rock on their own turf.
